At SHINE, we believe play is important for children’s learning and development. Play-based learning addresses all areas of development: cognitive, communication, motor, social/behavior, and adaptive behavior. Play-based learning allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development. It is through play that children at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them.
At SHINE, we believe that a preschool program is more than reading, writing, and arithmetic readiness skills. While academics are important for future school success, we believe that children need to know how to get along with others, think for themselves, regulate their emotions, communicate effectively, and treat others with kindness and compassion. We want your child to SHINE in all areas of their life!
